Open Letter To Our Global family

To Our Global Family,

We, Foundational Black Americans (FBAs), reach out to you with a message of truth, recognition, and unwavering resolve. Our journey in the United States has not only shaped the nation itself but has also served as a catalyst for human rights advancements across the globe. The battles we have fought—against slavery, segregation, racial discrimination, and systemic injustice—have laid the groundwork for liberation movements worldwide.

FBAs: The Blueprint for Human Rights & Cultural Advancement

The world has long looked to our struggle for guidance and inspiration. The ideals of freedom, justice, and equality have often been declared, but it has been the unrelenting resistance of Foundational Black Americans that has tested and forced America to live up to its own promises.

Our impact extends far beyond the borders of the United States. The courage of Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman, Ida B. Wells, Malcolm X, and Martin Luther King Jr. did not just shake America—it inspired the fight against apartheid in South Africa, the Caribbean independence movements, and the global civil rights campaigns that followed. When the world speaks of human rights, it must acknowledge that our struggle provided the blueprint for justice.

But our contributions do not stop there. We have defined and redefined global culture, setting the standard for excellence, resilience, and creativity in:

  • Intellectual Contributions:
    • W.E.B. Du Bois helped shape modern Pan-Africanism and inspired global Black consciousness.
    • Thurgood Marshall’s legal victories in Brown v. Board of Education set a precedent for dismantling systemic racism worldwide.
    • Carter G. Woodson, the father of Black History Month, ensured that the world could never erase our achievements.
  • Music, Dance, & Art:
    • Jazz, blues, rock & roll, hip-hop, and R&B all trace their origins to FBA creativity, now       forming the backbone of modern music worldwide.
    • The dance styles birthed by FBAs—breakdancing, stepping, jazz, and hip-hop choreography—have become global phenomena.
    • Fashion and style trends originating from Harlem to Los Angeles have shaped the way the world expresses itself.
  • Innovation & Invention:
    • Garrett Morgan’s traffic light, Lewis Latimer’s contributions to electric lighting, and Marie Van Brittan Brown’s home security system changed modern life.
    • Madam C.J. Walker, one of America’s first self-made millionaires, paved the way for global Black entrepreneurship.
    • The digital era would not exist as it does today without the pioneering work of Mark Dean, co-creator of the personal computer.

FBAs: The Instrument of America’s Perfection

From its inception, America set forth high ideals of democracy, equality, and liberty, yet those ideals were never meant for us. It is only through the blood, sweat, and relentless determination of FBAs that America has been forced to confront its contradictions.

Without our presence and struggle, America would not have been compelled to:
✅ End slavery and redefine citizenship.
✅ Overturn segregation and establish civil rights protections.
✅ Create inclusive policies that benefited not just Black Americans but all marginalized groups.

FBAs have been the instrument of perfecting America’s ideals. Without our contributions, the United States could not claim to be a land of justice or progress. And until FBAs are fully recognized, respected, and treated as equals, America can never truly declare itself a successful experiment.

The True Meaning of "Stay Woke"

The phrase "Stay Woke" was born from the FBA experience—a warning to be aware, to recognize systemic deception, and to never allow the truth to be buried. It was never about political trends; it was about our survival, our awareness, and our refusal to allow history to be rewritten.

We call on our global family to:
🔹 Acknowledge the truth—that the FBA struggle has shaped the fight for human   rights worldwide.
🔹 Defend our legacy—and ensure that our contributions are never diminished.
🔹 Recognize our rightful place—as both the builders and the moral conscience of America.

The world cannot afford to overlook the undeniable impact of Foundational Black Americans. To diminish our contributions is to diminish the very ideals of freedom and justice that the world claims to uphold.

We are not just a part of American history. We are the foundation upon which it stands!

With truth, pride, and unwavering determination,

Foundational Black Americans
